NIKANOL GEM-H
NIKANOL GEM-H is an emulsified xylene resin product that contains no organic solvents.
It can be used directly in water-based paints and adhesives, and is expected to improve the flexibility and adhesion of coatings and the tackiness of adhesives.
Composition of test solution
The following is an example of addition to water-based epoxy resin coatings.
The recommended amount of GEM-H to be added at the time of initial study is about 10~20% of the total resin.
The viscosity of the epoxy resin mixture can be adjusted by adding GEM-H.
Test results (Physical thickness 40μm)
Waterborne epoxy coatings with GEM-H improve flexibility / adhesion and have less impact on drying properties.

The recommended amount to be added at the time of initial study is about 10% of the resin.
Test results (Physical thickness 35μm)
Adding GEM-H improves the tackiness by increasing the flexibility of the adhesive layer. In particular, an improvement in adhesive strength to PP can be expected. However, attention should be paid to the decrease in a holding force.
